Between September 7 and October 6, 2020, Tobu Railways is running a campaign under which limited express fares on select trains will be cut by 50%!
With Silver Week around the corner, now you can go visit Nikko and Kinugawa at the perfect time in early autumn. Read on for all the details.
About the Tobu 50% OFF Campaign

The conditions for the campaign to get 50% off the limited express fare on the Tobu line this fall are as follows.
・Valid period: Monday, September 7 – Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
・Conditons: Purchase a limited express ticket for applicable trains by either of the following:
1. Purchase ticketless service (only on weekdays)
2. Purchase the Marugoto Tobu Free Pass, and present it at the station window, or at any Tobu Top Tours center when purchasing a limited express ticket.
Details on trains and services change depending on the plan.
1. Getting the discount via ticketless service

Reserve and purchase tickets for an applicable train via the Tobu Net Membership Service (with membership registration at https://www.tobu.co.jp/railway/useful/service/), or Limited Express Ticket Internet Purchase/Reservation Service (No membership registration required; https://www.tobu.co.jp/railway/useful/purchase/). You can use the purchase confirmation email to board the train (you can also print the ticket).
Also, when you reserve a seat for the limited express train online, the reservation will be at the discounted price.
Vouchers, however, are not covered by the campaign and will be sold at the regular rate. The displayed price may differ from the actual amount charged.
◆Applicable trains (weekdays only)
・Kegon 206, Revaty Kegon 208, Kinu 110/112
・Skytree Liner 2 and 4, Urban Park Liners 1 to 7
・Isesaki Line Ryomo 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
2. About the Marugoto Tobu Free Pass Discount

If you purchase the Marugoto Nikko/Kinugawa Tobu Free Pass, the Marugoto Nikko Tobu Free Pass, or the Marugoto Kinugawa Tobu Free Pass, you can freely ride the train and busses in the applicable areas at half price (between Asakusa and Tobu Nikko/Kinugawa Onsen; with some exceptions).
You can purchase up to two limited express tickets for each Free Pass presented at any station window on the Tobu Line; on the Yagan Railway between Shin-Fujiwara and Yunishigawa Onsen Station; or at any Tobu Top Tours branches (not available at automatic ticket vending machines).

To top the offer off, don’t forget that with the Marugoto/Nikko/Kinugawa Tobu Free Pass, or the Marugoto Nikko Tobu Free Pass during the campaign period, you can ride the Lake Chuzenji Sightseeing Boat Cruise with a discount of 50%, instead of the usual 10% the passes offer.

Similarly, by presenting the Marugoto Nikko/Kinugawa Tobu Free pass, or the Marugoto Nikko Tobu Free Pass, you will get discounts also on the Okunikko Resort Shuttle, with strengthened COVID countermeasures.
The shuttle is limited to 20 passengers on a first-come, first-served basis. The regular cost is usually 4,000 yen round trip (half-price for children). This is a direct bus from Tobu Nikko Station to the Lake Chuzenji/Okunikko area, via Nikko Utsunomiya Road, therefore avoiding city traffic.
*The Oku-Nikko Resort Shuttle can be booked in advance for round trips, and as a purchase bonus, you will also receive a Yumoto Onsen Free Pass that can be used on the day of the purchase.
*Through the Marugoto Nikko/Kinugawa Tobu Free Pass and the Marugoto Nikko Tobu Free Pass, you will get a 50% discount at Yumoto Onsen; however the offers do not come with a Yumoto Onsen Free Pass.
*For tickets, apply at the Tobu Nikko Station Tourist Center, or reserve in advance. (TEL: 0288-54-0864)
