A trip to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea is on the list of pretty much everyone who comes to Tokyo! Of course, the magical adventure needs to be commemorated by a cute souvenir or memento. Some of the classic choices for that are adorable plushies or unique T-shirts, but where to start? We sent one of our editors who also happens to be a massive Disney fan to Tokyo Disney resort, with the mission to find the absolute must-have character goods! From plushies to smartphone cases, prepare yourself for an epic Disney-themed shopping haul!
Mickey & Minnie Pillow (L): the Cutest Facial Expression! (5,800 yen each)
Plushies are basically evergreens as far as popular souvenirs from Tokyo Disney Resort go. Among them are these two fluffy pillows that just beg to be hugged and cuddles! Both Mickey and Minnie are about 90cm long, making for an adorably unique room decoration even if they’re just loafing around on the couch. Especially noteworthy are the puffy cheeks, adding a lot of character to the facial expressions. Of course, they’re especially charming when facing each other like in the picture above. These plushies have just been released in April 2018, so it’s a brand-new souvenir idea!
Sold at: Grand Emporium (Tokyo Disneyland)
Winnie the Pooh Pillow (L): Loafing Around Lazily! (5,800 yen)
Winnie the Pooh is also available as a wonderfully soft pillow. The way his little limbs are lazily dangling around is simply adorkable! It’s a soft rest for your own feet or head and hugging the little buddy will bring a smile to your face for sure.
Sold at: Grand Emporium (Tokyo Disneyland)
Winnie the Pooh an Donald Duck Pillows (M): The Perfect Size! (3,500 yen each)
If the large pillows are a bit too big for you, these smaller ones might be just right! Labeled “medium,” they’re still 61cm long and about 34cm thick, so even adults can hug them comfortably! They don’t take away too much space but still bring a nice splash of Disney happiness to any room. Next to Donald and Winnie the Pooh, there are all sorts of characters, so go ahead and find your favorite.
Sold at: Grand Emporium (Tokyo Disneyland)
Duffy & Friends Plushies (S): Take Them Through the Park! (3,900 yen each)
Duffy & Friends are only available at Tokyo DisneySea, so they are a one-of-a-kind souvenir! These S-size plushies are the perfect size to be carried around the park, with a sitting height of about 30cm. Next to Duffy, you can choose between ShellieMay, Gelatoni, and StellaLou. There are also various sets of costumes for those plushies that are separately sold and creating your own outfit for your favorite is all the rage in Japan!

Mickey & Minnie Posing Plushie: Create Stunning Poses! (2,200 yen each)
The posing plushies are extremely popular goods that were just released in May 2018! They feature a wire skeleton and thus stand, sit, or lie in whichever pose you like – get creative! These plushies are about 24cm tall, so they make a nice decoration for your desk or nightstand and never get boring because hey, just change their pose! Due to the larger feet, the little characters don’t topple over if you find the right balance for them. There’s also Donald and Daisy ready to be taken home. A lot of people take selfies with these cuties and hashtag them – just check out the Japanese hashtag of #お出かけポージープラッシー to see some examples!

These adorable coin cases come in the fluffy shape of Duffy and ShellieMay. They come with a string to wear them around your neck, which is wonderful convenience while in a theme park – you need your hands to munch popcorn or hold on to a ride, after all! Hairband: Adorable Ears of Your Favorite Character! (1,300 yen each)
Hairbands are a staple of Tokyo Disney Resort and there’s pretty much no one in the park who isn’t wearing one. They’re fun because they let you transform you into your favorite character, no matter your age or sex and it’s especially fun if you team up with your friend or date! The Duffy & Friends series is only available at DisneySea.
This is Duffy’s Happy Marching Fun costume, an adorable little head with a feather!

Minnie Headband: the Big Ribbon is Simply Adorable! (1,400 yen each)
Minnie’s headband is by far the most popular among girls and women. The polka-dotted ribbon is just as iconic as the character herself and immediately recognizable! Next to classic red, it comes in other colors as well, so why not match it with your outfit?
