Skip the Summer Heat: Osaka's Spectacular Autumn Fireworks Festival Returns This November

Date published: 23 July 2026

Fireworks festivals in Japan may be synonymous with summer, but the cooler months offer a far more comfortable way to enjoy the show. With crisp air, fewer worries about heat and humidity, and plenty of opportunities to dress for the season, autumn fireworks can be one of Japan’s best-kept secrets.

One of Osaka’s biggest fall events, Expo Night Sky Art Day 2026, will return to Expo ’70 Commemorative Park on November 21, 2026. Since launching in 2022, the festival has attracted more than 100,000 visitors with its spectacular displays combining fireworks, music, and artistic staging.

The 2026 event also marks its fifth anniversary. Under the theme “Beyond the Past, Toward New Entertainment,” organizers are promising an expanded program and an upgraded viewing experience that will transform Osaka’s autumn sky into a dazzling work of art.
