Yokohama Museum of Art is considered a symbol of the Minato Mirai 21 area. It consists of seven exhibition rooms and has a collection of over 110,000 books. It is one of the largest museums in Japan.

Yokohama Museum of Art is considered a symbol of the Minato Mirai 21 area. It is conveniently located within three minutes' walk from Minato Mirai Line Minato Mirai Station, or ten minutes' walk from Sakuragicho Station. An expansive main entrance with 20-meter-high open ceiling made with granite tiles leads visitors into a world of art. The museum houses over 10,000 works from the late-19th century to the present day, from Japan and overseas, including some by Dali, Magritte, Cezanne and Picasso. It holds permanent exhibitions that display artworks by theme as well as elaborate special exhibitions. The museum also houses over 110,000 art-related books and 580 images in its art information and media center, which is accessible to visitors for free. The museum shop can be entered without an admission ticket, so you can just come in and buy some gifts and souvenirs if you like.
