We visited the shrine complex on a rainy day, but still enjoyed it. The main negative point is the crowds. Try to get there early to avoid most of the crowds, and allow a half day for the visit so...Visited October 2024 -

This is very historic cultural site. It houses the tomb of the first Shogun from the 1600's. The shrine is very beautiful.Visited August 2025 -

Toshogu Shrine is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The whole complex of building it's a state of art! Unfortunately, during my visit there was a heavy rain, so many of my pictures was taken...Visited April 2025
