Calling all Sanrio fans! After becoming a sensation in South Korea and attracting visitors from around the world, the wildly popular immersive exhibition Sanrio characters Exhibition Hotel Floria Tokyo officially opened at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku on July 15, 2026.

Created through a collaboration between Sanrio and world-renowned digital design studio d’strict, the exhibition brings to life an elegant yet irresistibly cute fantasy hotel imagined by the Sanrio characters themselves. Grab your camera, check in, and join us on a dreamy tour through its enchanting guest rooms!

Check In Before Entering! Receive a Random “Luc-key” Character Room Card

The experience begins at the hotel’s check-in area, where a giant screen shows adorable animations of Sanrio characters bouncing around. Continue through the hallway, and it is time to step inside this irresistibly cute hotel!

At the lobby counter, a staff member will hand you a special room key featuring one of the Sanrio characters. The character is chosen at random, adding a little extra excitement as you wait to see who you get!

Step Into the Dreamiest Areas: Character Rooms, Themed Bathrooms, and Even a Real Beach?!

One of the exhibition’s biggest highlights is exploring 11 completely different immersive spaces, including character-themed guest rooms, bathrooms, a swimming pool, and even a beach. d’strict’s cutting-edge projection technology blends with physical sets to make every area feel irresistibly cute and incredibly photogenic.

A Dreamy Pink Beach With Real Sand, Indoors?!

Step into the beach area and you will find real, soft sand beneath your feet. Dreamlike seaside scenery is projected across the walls, shifting from bright blue skies to pink waves and a sunset-tinted horizon for an incredibly relaxing escape.

Beach umbrellas and lounge chairs complete the scene, while Hello Kitty and Pochacco welcome visitors with surfboards in hand. It is easy to forget that you are in the heart of busy Shinjuku and imagine yourself on a private pink island getaway instead.

You can even step directly onto the sand, so take your time capturing plenty of cute, dreamy photos!

Too Cute! Step Inside Hello Kitty’s Themed Room

Hello Kitty’s signature red color, cat-inspired details, and iconic bows are perfectly recreated throughout the room. Helpful markers show the best places to pose, including a bright red sofa bed where you can immerse yourself in Hello Kitty’s adorable world.

Continue onward to a piano room decorated with roses and apples. Take a photo seated at the piano beside Hello Kitty, then head deeper into the exhibition to discover more character-themed rooms.

Relax to the Sound of Rain Beneath a Canopy of Umbrellas

Another personal favorite features umbrellas suspended from the ceiling, with their silhouettes projected onto the floor below. Accompanied by the soothing patter of rain, the sight of Pompompurin relaxing in the projected scenery makes this charming space especially calming.
