On the cutting edge of calculator evolution! Brief history of CASIO

CASIO has become famous among businesspeople worldwide. Before introducing the S100 model itself, let's learn more about the company's history.

The origins of CASIO are found in Kashio Seisakusho, which was founded in 1946. Four brothers, Tadao, Toshio, Kazuo, and Yukio Kashio, worked together to create a number of calculators using their respective areas of expertise.

In 1957, the company succeeded in developing the world's first compact purely electric (relay) calculator, the 14-A, and established CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. Their electronic desktop calculator, the 001, was launched in 1965 and was the first calculator with a memory function, making all calculations more efficient. Since then, they have continued to pioneer digital technology with the goal of "inventing products that meet the untapped needs of customers throughout the world." In that spirit, they continue to innovate to this day.
