At Uogashi Nihon-Ichi Shinjuku, you can enjoy sushi prepared by chefs standing right before your eyes. You can have nigiri sushi at a reasonable price, starting at 75 yen (tax not included) for two pieces. Located near the major electronics store, Yodobashi Camera, by Shinjuku Station's West Exit, this restaurant is easily accessible after you're done with your shopping.
In the glass case in front of you, there is a lot of fresh fish purchased directly from Toyosu Market. You can order from the menu (available also in English, Korean, and Chinese), or by choosing something that you like from the display.
The wait is made more impressive by the fact that the chefs prepare your dish right in front of you. This place is also perfect for those who don’t have much time since the staff can prepare four pieces of such within 2 minutes after receiving the order.
The fish slices are moderately thick, and the homemade rice is served at human-body temperature, so it’s not hard to eat. The number of items in the menu is also a good selling point having choices such as the “Minuki King set,” or the broiled sushi.
