Our editor visited Grand Hyatt Tokyo to unveil the mystery of the Pokémon 30th Anniversary stay packages!

With an “Adventure” theme, the hotel has meticulously crafted two special rooms. Both options let you experience the exquisite event-exclusive decorations and take home special 30th-anniversary gifts you can’t buy anywhere else. However, the exact contents and gifts differ entirely between the two!

First up is the ultimate “Pokémon 30th Anniversary Grand Adventure Suite.” This spacious room is divided into dedicated habitats for Grass-type, Fire-type, and Water-type Pokémon!

In the living room, you’ll find Bulbasaur and Tangela; the bedroom features Charmander and Vulpix; and the bathroom is home to Squirtle and Lapras. The moment you walk in the door, you’re greeted by 30 Pikachu—a total dream for photo ops!

Staying in this suite gets you a massive haul of collaborative luxury gear, including an outdoor lantern and a custom polo shirt.

On top of all that, the suite package includes an exclusive in-room dining experience! For dinner, guests can enjoy a surprise-filled, all-yellow Flying Pikachu Gourmet Burger dinner right in their room, featuring a gourmet burger with ketchup, curry fries, and a super cute “Pikachu Yellow Soda.”

Our editor taste-tested the limited-time “Flying Pikachu Gourmet Burger Set” at The Oak Door restaurant on the 6th floor. We highly recommend it!

This all-yellow Flying Pikachu beef burger features an incredibly delicious sauce—a homemade BBQ blend of ketchup, ginger, garlic, honey, and mustard that mixes surprisingly well! Paired with a 100% pure beef patty (double-cooked over charcoal and in a 900-degree oven), plus rich toppings like tomato, lettuce, onion, and jalapeños, all sandwiched in a potato bun baked in-house at the hotel. It’s so juicy and tasty!

Beyond the main course, the set’s drink and sides are equally full of surprises. The meal comes with curry-flavored fries, cold corn soup, and a tropical summer specialty drink.

The drink our editor tried is topped with mango sorbet—much lighter and less heavy than regular ice cream—and the soda is super refreshing! Plus, there’s a Pikachu-shaped chocolate right on top. Looking at such a cute design, will you gobble it up in one bite or be too reluctant to eat it?

Additionally, the Fiorentina cafe on the 1st floor has launched an exquisite “Flying Pikachu Summer Parfait.” This dessert perfectly blends smooth mascarpone mousse with a peach-flavored blue butterfly pea flower jelly that looks just like a summer sky, complete with cloud-shaped coconut jelly floating inside!

The top of the parfait isn’t just decorated with Pikachu chocolate; it also features balloon-shaped ice cream in five flavors: mango, orange, pistachio, blueberry, and raspberry. It’s colorful and packed with layers of flavor!

After eating your fill, you absolutely can’t miss out on the gorgeous commemorative souvenirs. The Fiorentina Pastry Boutique on the 1st floor has rolled out several irresistible 30th-anniversary limited sweets and gift boxes. Whether you’re gifting them or hoarding them for your own collection, they are perfect!

This premium mango cake, specially designed for the 30th anniversary, is an absolute showstopper. The cake combines almond sponge, sautéed mango, and coconut jelly, all wrapped in a smooth mango mousse with a base of French feuilletine and dacquoise for incredible textural depth.

The top of the cake is adorned with a Pikachu silhouette chocolate, mango slices beautifully arranged into a bouquet shape, and surrounded by chocolate angel wings inspired by Pikachu. It radiates rich tropical vibes and pure luxury!

If you want to pack up these summer memories to go, the “Grand Adventure Sweets Trunk Case”—housed in an original design mini suitcase—is your top choice. Inside, you’ll find mango cookies with Pikachu designs, coffee chocolate cookies with Eevee designs, and exquisitely shaped chocolates.
