Meet Maman: Roppongi Hills' Friendly Scary Spider Landmark
It's no secret that Roppongi Hills is a place to meet international artists and their works. Six different artworks can be enjoyed in the public space, supervised by the Mori Art Museum located in Roppongi Hills, and another three are to be found at TV Asahi.
The most famous of them all, however, is Maman: over six meters tall towers the bronze spider over Roppongi Hills' visitors, created by the talented late Louise Bourgeois. Acting as a friendly protector rather than a spidery scare, Maman has become the area's big landmark, with hundreds of people gathering underneath her legs and taking photos with and of her daily. Go ahead and snap the very best picture of Roppongi's iconic spider!

Sky Deck: Gaze Upon Tokyo and its Landmarks and Spot Mount Fuji in the Distance
One of Tokyo's most famous observation decks can be found on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills' Mori Tower. Gaze upon the city from 250 meters above sea level at the indoor corridor, or climb yet another 20 meters higher to reach the open-air Sky Deck.
Starting with Tokyo's old and modern landmarks such as Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, and the Imperial Palace, you can even see Mount Fuji in the distance on a clear and sunny day.
The night view from Sky Deck, however, is particularly breathtaking. A million lights glimmer and sparkle below your feet, giving the nighttime sky an elegant orange glow - this is the vivid and beautiful Tokyo that we all know and love. We highly recommend visiting once the sun has set.

Mori Garden: Explore Traditional Japan in the Feudal Lord's Garden
The representative green space of Roppongi Hills is, undoubtedly, Mori Garden. Its origins are rather ancient, dating back to the Edo period in the Middle Ages.
It was once part of a mansion occupied by the prestigious Mori family, an old samurai clan, constructed in the year 1650. The Mori Garden as it is today was opened in 2003, offering a vast oasis of 4,300 square meters filled with waterfalls and streams around the large pond, numerous trees, and absolutely stunning scenery that changes its color with every passing season.
Mori Garden becomes particularly lively during spring, as it is a famous and popular spot for cherry blossom viewing. The garden's circular shape allows for a stroll, best enjoyed with a sweet seasonal treat in one hand and a camera in the other.
