What is “Wagashi”?
It is a traditional Japanese sweets that is delicate and good for the health, made with red bean paste made from azuki beans and sugar, rice flour, sticky rice, and seasonal ingredients.
Mosuke Dango is a Japanese sweets store that has had its main store in one of the world's largest fishery markets since 1898.
“Dango”, which has been loved since the establishment of this store, is said to be one of the oldest Japanese sweets made only with joshinko and red bean paste (azuki beans and sugar). We also sell other standard Japanese sweets such as Dorayaki, Kusamochi, Daifuku, and Yokan.
“Okasana Monaka” that has the shape of a fish is the most popular souvenir.
We also sell seasonal sweets such as “Sakura-mochi” and “Jo-namagashi (premium sweets)” that match the four seasons and annual events of the year. You can feel Japanese culture and tradition.
At the adjoining Japanese cafe, “Mosuke Cafe” (9:00-14:30), you can enjoy rice cake and red bean paste “Antsuke” and “Oshiruko”, “Anmitsu” dessert with agar and fruit, and the market specialty “Tamazo” with green tea.
