Description
The Subway Museum is a place where you can study the history of subway systems as well as their latest technology in an experiential way. An introduction to subway systems — from how to build them, to how to maintain them — using hands-on exhibits. The subway-operation simulator, in which you can feel realistic vibrations, and the general control station are very popular. In addition to a real subway car where you can operate the doors, the Metro Panorama Section with 11 trains from nine Tokyo Metro lines is well worth seeing. In the museum, there is a library and a hall where movies are shown, so it is a facility that is enjoyable for both children and adults, not to mention railway enthusiasts. A barrier-free design has been implemented in the museum building so that it is safe for elderly visitors. The museum is located under the elevated railway tracks of the Kasai Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, so it is easily accessible, which means, especially, that there is no need for an umbrella on a rainy day.
