Given that Tokyo area residents were not covered under the national "Go To Travel Campaign," select facilities in the Asakusa area decided to create their own incentive: the "Go To Asakusa Campaign!"
Here we'll introduce some of the campaigns under way, where Tokyo area residents - and even folks from outside the area - can get up to 50% off accommodation charges!
Enjoy summer in Asakusa! 'Tomin-Oen - Accommodation Plan with Dinner'
From August 1 to October 31, Asakusa View Hotel is running a special for Tokyo residents called "Tomin-Oen (Citizen Support) - Accommodation Plan with Dinner." This package, which includes a standard room plus dinner, is from 8400 yen per person (with 3-4 people in the reservation). Dinner can even be enjoyed at the Sky Grill Musashi restaurant on the 26th floor.
Just 3 minutes from Sensoji Temple, Asakusa View Hotel offers a panoramic view of the area, including Tokyo Skytree, and is nearby many of the sightseeing spots in the neighborhood.
At Sky Grill Musashi, a new service style has been offered since July, where the chef delivers food directly from a wagon, so that you can enjoy dinner with peace of mind right at your seat.
To prevent the spread of Covid, the hotel enforces a limit on the number of people in public spaces, and meals are arranged in a large restaurant of 585 sqm, with social distancing measures in place. Employees must wear masks and gloves. Guests are requested to have a temperature check and sanitize their hands when entering the building.

"Stay unusual campaign": Decide your own accommodation fee!
Cyashitsu Ryokan Asakusa, in the Oku-Asakusa area, is running a "Stay Unusual" campaign during which you can name your own accommodation price (normally 30,000 yen) from September 1-10. Reservations can be made from the URL on their Twitter or Instagram DM.
The standard price is 30,000 yen with breakfast for 2 people per night, but under the campaign, you can pay what you feel the experience is worth - from 0 yen to infinity. 10% of the accommodation sales will go to support single mothers and medical professionals.
Cyashitsu Ryokan Asakusa is a 10-room ryokan that combines tradition and modernity with a tea room as a motif. On the top floor is a private open-air bath with a view of the Skytree.
Also, for a limited time, they are running a "room meal plan" where you can enjoy long-established Japanese cuisine in the comfort of your room. In a private room with a view of the Skytree, they are doing a "Bar Tea Room" service where you can enjoy natural wine and craft beer.
