Description
Situated in seaside Yokosuka, this park is ranked one of Japan's Top 100 City Parks and Top 100 Historical Parks. Mikasa Park is symbolized by its 18-meter-high Peace Arch in Monument Square, and by the memorial ship Mikasa, which served during the Russo-Japanese War, in Central Square. The park's musical fountain lights up at night and produces patterns that change with the music. There is also an outdoor stage where you can sing to the sea, and an open lawn where you can relax. A 15-minute walk from Yokosuka Chuo Station on the Keikyu Line brings you to the park.
