"Shonan no Hoseki" is a winter illumination event held each year across the Enoshima and Katase Coast areas. This year, Shonan no Hoseki is expanding its illuminated area. Kugenuma Seaside Park HUG-RIDE PARK joins as a new venue, offering a light installation that blends the “Shonan SUNSET” and “Shonan no Hoseki” experiences into one. Visitors can enjoy both the breathtaking sunset and the glowing illuminations together—an irresistible new spot for photography lovers

Odakyu’s new digital ticket is the perfect all-in-one pass, including a round-trip ride on the Odakyu Line plus admission to major spots on Enoshima Island. Travelers from Shinjuku can save 560 yen for adults and 710 yen for children. Buy it easily online or through the app, and on the day, just scan the QR code at each facility. No lines, no hassle—your smartphone handles it all

During the event, the limited express Romancecar Shonan no Hoseki-go will run on select weekends for a total of seven days. Its front and side signs will light up with “Shonan no Hoseki,” a design seen only on this special train. Passengers riding on November 22 and 23 will receive a commemorative boarding certificate to mark the occasion

Even after enjoying the illuminations late into the night, Romancecars operate from Katase-Enoshima Station. A limited express ticket is required in addition to the base fare, but the real advantage is being able to return to Shinjuku in comfort with a guaranteed seat, even during the busy nighttime hours. (For example, trains depart Katase-Enoshima Station at 7:17 PM and 8:03 PM.)
