Akutsu Hachiman-jinja Shrine

Description

The Amida-do hall was allegedly built by Jikaku Daishi who visited the area in 860. Located on the left side of the cobblestone approach to the shrine, the magnificent three-story pagoda, which is a Yamagata prefectural designated cultural property, attracts visitors’ attention.
