Description
The temple site was founded by the wife of FUJIWARA no Motohira, the second generation of the Oshu-Fujiwara clan. The highlight here is the Jodo Teien (Pure Land Garden), every part of which including Maizuru ga Ike Pond has remained almost unchanged. It has now become a historical park enjoyed by residents in the town as a place of relaxation.
