會津藩校日新館

Description

This site is a replica of the Nisshinkan, established by the Aizu clan in 1803 to foster its next generation of samurai warriors. Children of Aizu samurai families entered this school at the age of 10 and worked on both their academic studies and physical training. The property also features facilities such as an archive museum, the Bakumatsu-Meiji memorial and a martial arts training hall.
