In a very beautiful place this shrine is a good place to visit if you are in Hirosaki. Surrounded by cedar trees it is very tranquil.Visited September 2019 -

Like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Iwaki-Yama is visible from all over Hirosaki. The mountain is beautiful in spring with snow on the summit and cherry trees at the base. I made it a goal to get out...Visited April 2019 -

This shrine should be far better to visit in spring. Bus from the Hirosaki station is not very frequent and the shrine closes @4 pm according to the tourist information. If you just pray and explore...Visited January 2017
