The space is elegant and tranquil, with white and black as the main colors, pillars decorated with ancient wood, and ornaments from Jokyoji Temple placed throughout. The restaurant is Sōga Ono Kyoto Jokyoji, which is the first restaurant outside of the prefecture of Fukuoka's famous Japanese restaurant Sōga Ono, which is featured in the Michelin Guide. Please enjoy a stay that can only be experienced here, such as the large communal bath and the ``Morning Work Experience.''
Continuing the journey to the local area This is Kyoto Sanjo, which was once depicted as the starting/ending point of the Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido. It is a place where people and things from all over the country gathered and created new culture. We will develop various content with local players from all over Japan based on this context. We hope that our activities will bring new excitement to the city of Kyoto and provide an opportunity for visitors to travel to attractive local areas of Japan. <About the existing building> This building is the former Nippon Life Kyoto Sanjo Building, which is partially a registered tangible cultural property. The cultural property part of the building, which began construction in 1912 and was completed in 1914, was designed by the Tatsuno & Kataoka Architectural Office led by Tatsuno Kingo, known for Tokyo Station, and their style is well reflected in the stone-clad exterior. Currently, all that remains is one span of the company building facing Yanagi-no-Maba-dori, which was demolished in 1983 leaving only that part, and the office building was expanded.
The white tiled floors and spiral staircase leading up to the fourth floor create a European atmosphere. The living space on the first floor is equipped with a sofa for relaxing and a kitchen to support a comfortable stay, while the second and third floors feature modern bedrooms, while the fourth floor is fully equipped with a washing machine, a separate bathroom with a TV, a shower booth and a sink, all of which are convenient for long-term stays. The rooms on each floor are separated by doors, allowing you to enjoy your stay in a private space. Facilities that can accommodate up to eight people near Kyoto Station are extremely rare, making them extremely popular. Take this opportunity to enjoy a new way of staying that is different from a hotel.
