A free day in Wakayama begs for a good long stroll around the castle grounds and on up to the top of the castle tower. Most signs are multilingual. I found it very interesting. Skip the zoo, though...Visited May 2024

We went when it was absolutely pouring rain so it was a bit challenging to climb up to the castle. Seeing all the Edo Period history was very fun! At the bottom of the hike there are walking sticks...Visited March 2024
