Description
This famous destination in Yunomine Onsen is said to be the oldest bath in Japan. A simple, small bath house built in on the bedrock on the river hot springs. The rock tub is only big enough for two adults to fit in. Legend has it that this mysterious ancient bath healed the ailments of legendary figure Hangan Oguri. It is said to alternate between seven different colors depending on the day. A 30-minute bathing time is allotted to each group. Soap and shampoo is prohibited.
