Located on the lakeshore of Ogoto Onsen on the western shore of Lake Biwa, with the lush Hiei Mountain range at its back and a spacious view of Lake Biwa in front.
It takes about 2 hours by train from Kansai International Airport, and there is a shuttle bus at JR Ogoto Onsen.By car, it takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes using the expressway.The World Heritage Site, Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei, can be reached by car in 30 minutes.
Eighty percent of the 69 guest rooms are equipped with open-air baths, featuring Ogoto Onsen water and offering a liberating atmosphere with views of Lake Biwa.
The cuisine includes authentic kaiseki dishes presented with items like appetizers and sashimi, focusing on local production for local consumption using Omi rice from local farmers and certified premium Omi beef.
The large communal baths feature two areas: a women's bath with the warmth of wood and a men's bath with rock baths and reclining baths, allowing guests to enjoy the hot spring experience.Outside the large communal baths, there is a water-mirror courtyard where guests can soak their feet in a footbath while enjoying the courtyard's enchanting atmosphere.Next to the courtyard is a post-bath library, where complimentary coffee, juice, and ice pops are offered.
In the surrounding area, in addition to Mount Hiei, there are popular tourist destinations such as Sakamoto Monzenmachi, Biwako Terrace, Metasequoia Avenue, and La Collina Omihachiman, as well as nearby activities like canoeing and SUP on Lake Biwa.
