Ogoto Onsen Biwako Ryokusuitei

Located on the west shore of Lake Biwa, Ogoto Onsen is located on the lakeside with the lush green Mt. Hiei behind it and the vast Lake Biwa in front of it.
It is about 2 hours by train from Kansai International Airport, and there is a shuttle bus from JR Ogoto Onsen. It is also about 1 hour and 40 minutes by car using the expressway. The World Heritage Site of Mount Hiei Enryakuji Temple can be reached in 30 minutes by car.
80% of the 69 guest rooms have open-air baths, and the hot water from Ogoto Onsen is provided, allowing you to enjoy the view of Lake Biwa.
The authentic kaiseki cuisine, presented in hassun and mukouzuke, is made with local produce and consumption in mind, using Omi rice from local farmers and the highest quality certified Omi beef.
There are two large public baths where you can enjoy the hot springs: the women's bath where you can feel the warmth of wood, and the men's bath with a reclining bath in a rock bath. Leaving the large public bath, you will find a water mirror courtyard, where you can view the fantastical atmosphere while soaking your feet in the footbath. Next to the courtyard is a library where you can relax after your bath, where free coffee, juice and even popsicles are served.
In addition to Mt. Hiei, there are other popular tourist spots in the surrounding area, such as the temple town of Sakamoto, Lake Biwa Terrace, Metasequoia Avenue and La Collina Omihachiman, and there are also activities on Lake Biwa such as canoeing and SUP nearby.
