Beautiful from far above. When you stand nearby, not too impressive. It is huge. The largest in Japan. Mostly urban feel around, not too much wild areas and parks. Did not see any beaches, maybe...Visited May 2021 -

The lake is serene and beautiful, but there is not much excitement in the local area. Very pretty views and lovely small local shrines are interesting, but I do wish there were more options for boat...Visited October 2019
