Description

This keyhole-shaped tumulus stretches over 480 meters and sits on an area of almost 464,000 square meters, making it one of the largest tombs in the world. The tomb was built mid-fifth century as a mausoleum for both the Hanzei and Richu emperors. It is also referred to as “Mozu no Mimihara no Naka no Misasagi”.
