Description
This man-made pond spans 360 meters around, and was built as a fish release pond of Kofukuji Temple. The view of the five-storied pagoda reflected in the pond's surface is one of the most famous sights in Nara. Uneme Shrine enshrines a court lady who drowned herself in the pond.
