Description
A vault of treasures, built in a traditional style using interwoven logs. While it originally contained precious artifacts belonging to Emperor Shomu, these items are presently located in a separate facility. Every fall, a selection of items are exhibited at the Exhibition of Shoso-in Treasures organized by the Nara National Museum.
