Description
This well-established ryokan was first built in 1900 during the Meiji period. The sukiya architecture of Sumiya is thick with traditional Japanese atmosphere, and continues to tell of its tradition. During the Taisho period, this ryokan was famous for being the place where people of culture involved in tea ceremony, flower arrangement, noh plays, and more, would gather.
