Another aspect of Kyoto, 'Kameoka.'A 100-year-old traditional Japanese house (formerly the residence of an incense merchant) located in the old castle town area was renovated by Kameoka City into an accommodation facility and opened in October 2018.
The facility was supervised by Alex Kerr, a leading expert in traditional Japanese house restoration.
Here in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, is a major production area for Kyoto vegetables, and due to the abundance of these ingredients, it has long been referred to as Kyoto's kitchen.
