Description
Mimuroto Temple is an ancient temple of Uji where many tangible cultural properties and statues of Buddha are enshrined. Among these is a Thousand-armed Kannon statue. It is also referred to as the “Hydrangea temple” as it has fuchsia, blue, and pink hydrangea throughout the grounds. The temple boasts more than 10,000 hydrangea plants in bloom with cedar trees spaced throughout them.
