This was a nice chill ride on our way to the Hozugawa river boat cruise from Kyoto. Booking in advance is a must to ensure you get your preferred seat. Wouldn't recommend spending extra and booking...Visited March 2025 -

The view was great, the ride not really. That train needs to be replaced. The seats are uncomfortable and in the tunnels you can smell the diesel. Also the noise sometimes it's too much. P.S...Visited May 2025
