It was interesting to see the monkeys up close but the experience was overcrowded with tourists. Not sure if I would recommend as it felt a bit exploitive.Visited October 2025 -

It is quite a trek up to the Monkey viewing spot, but well worth it!! The monkeys are mesmerizing and seem very content. The view of Kyoto is definitely an added bonus. Suggestions for improvements...Visited September 2025
