This was at the top of my list of things to do in Kyoto and I was not disappointed. Also made it just in time for the monkey feeding at around 3pm.Visited December 2025 -

This was well worth the walk uphill. You can't even be mad when you look into the eyes of a monkey (Don't do it though). Had a great time in the simplest of things, feeding the monkeys.Visited December 2025

Where else can you walk around with these amazing monkeys playing all around you?? I have been to zoo's all over the world, but ths was a first and a wonderful time. Note it is about a 20 min hike up...Visited November 2025
