This onsen is one of the smaller ones but it has the benefit of being open until 11pm. I went at around 8pm and it was myself and tow others, so not crowded at all. For sure it is one of the hotter...Visited October 2019 -

Perhaps the space seems a little small, so it felt rather crowded. We were there during around 5pm, right before dinner hours so I guess that is when most people would have checked into their rooms...Visited March 2017 -
