Akarenga Terrace

Akarenga Terrace is in the main street of Sapporo that leads to the Red Brick Office (the former government office building) in the center of Hokkaido.
The area is a sightseeing spot covered in greenery from the fresh verdure of spring until summer, golden ginkgo trees to late autumn, and in winter the station street lights up with magical illumination. The commercial facility is also popular for the locals and is filled with many delicious restaurants for enjoying Sapporo cuisine.
In particular, the Tembo Gallery (the gallery with a view) overlooking the Red Brick Office, where you can learn about Hokkaido's cultivation history, and the Atrium Terrace, a free space on the second floor, are perfect for a rest between sightseeing. The Atrium Terrace located in the square with high ceilings and spacious rest area includes counter seats with power points, as well as tables and benches, that the space is recommended to spend time as they like. Also the Barterrace on the third floor contains various restaurants that represent Sapporo's food culture.
