Clockless JZNK, located in Sapporo’s onsen paradise of Jozankei, specializes in long-term stays in designer rooms furnished with kitchens, washing machines, and more, all while providing hotel amenities. It takes about 50 minutes to get here from central Sapporo via car, with public bus options also available.
All rooms are equipped with fridges, cooking tools, utensils, and washing machines, making it perfect for couples, families, or even close friends looking for an extended escape. Hotel facilities have English explanations, and many of the staff can also converse in English.
On the top floor is a spacious natural onsen with jaw-dropping views of Jozankei’s lush nature. There are no restrictions on who can bathe, so those with tattoos are free to hop in! You can use the onsen between 3pm and 10am the next day, so you can literally bathe all night!

3. JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo - A Spa Directly Connected with Sapporo Station!
JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo is a well-established 38-story tower hotel offering phenomenal Sapporo views from its higher floors.
On the 22nd floor is a natural onsen bath using thermal waters pumped up from below JR Sapporo Station's South Exit. Completed by an air bubble bath and Finland-style sauna, the stresses of traveling will be washed away in minutes! Best of all, the hotel is connected directly with the station, allowing frazzled travelers to begin rejuvenating as soon as they reach Sapporo.
The women's spa also presents a special 1.2-meter deep massage bath known as 'Karunia Isle.' Out of the tub's walls and floor, which is large enough to walk around in, shoot bubbles caressing your entire body and encouraging blood flow. The men's bathroom is also a delight, boasting a steam sauna with negative air ionization therapy and aromatherapy. If you're in serious need of a recovery, this is the hotel for you!

4. Yamahana Onsen Tonden - An Unmanned Hotel with a Private Onsen!
Opened in July 2020, the Yamahana Onsen Tonden hotel is a freshly renovated 1960s sento spa that was once the pillar of the community. Guests can spend the night surrounded by traditional sento aesthetics, providing an authentic taste of retro Japan.
As there are no staff on the premises, Yamahana Onsen Tonden is with little coronavirus concern. It's also an easy 10-minute walk from Nakajimakoen Station on the Namboku Subway Line, making travel stress-free.
Utilizing the original showerheads and wall tiles, the former bathroom has been converted into a swanky bedroom, while the changing rooms are now the lounge room. Furniture, appliances, kitchenware, etc. are provided, making it the ultimate stay for families or large groups. There are two rooms, one for 6 people and one for 7, with two groups able to stay on the premises at one time.
Of course, there is a natural onsen - which is for private use! Unlike most onsen, you'll need to fill the tub yourself, allowing you to create the perfect blend of water and temperature to suit your needs. As it's private, you can bathe together with family or friends, or just hog the whole thing yourself!

5. ONSEN RYOKAN Yuen Sapporo - A Refreshing Blend of Modern and Traditional
ONSEN RYOKAN Yuen Sapporo, an 8-minute walk from the Odori Station Number 1 Exit, treats travelers to a taste of Japanese ryokan style culture with big city comforts. The outside is decorated by traditional noren hanging curtains and koshi lattices, reminiscent of a nostalgic onsen town deep in the Japanese countryside.
The bathrooms on the 2nd floor are completely covered by an enchanting lights display, creating a relaxing atmosphere inviting guests to unwind. In the outdoor bath, you'll be able to try bathing in legendary thermal water brought over from Hokkaido's famous Karurusu Onsen in Noboribetsu. Depending upon the time of year, special seasonal onsen events are also held, making each visit unique!

8. Teine Onsen: Honoka - A Stone Sauna and 24/7 Onsen!
Teine Onsen: Honoka is a 24-hour day spa extravaganza! While there is no accommodation, the charming relaxation space allows visitors to zone out from morning to night! While a little distant from Sapporo's metropolitan area, a free pick-up/drop-off bus service running from places like Miyanosawa Station and Teine Station is available, making it a breeze to get to.
The natural onsen waters are rich in sodium chloride, keeping the water warm and packed with moisturizing properties. In addition to the indoor and outdoor baths, there is a milky silk bath, a bath with seats, and single-person barrel-like bathtubs known as 'tsubo-yu.' The highlight, however, is Hokkaido's only 'sea of clouds stone sauna!' Nano-sized particles of mist hover on the floor of the room, penetrating your pores and moisturizing your body while making it feel like you're walking through a sea of clouds!
While from 5:00am to 1:00am you can use the facilities at the normal rate, entry between 1:00am to 5:00am will incur an extra late-night charge. Be aware of the charges beforehand.

10. Sapporo Kitahiroshima Classe Hotel - Ideal For Active Travelers!
Providing an escape from city mayhem, the Sapporo Kitahiroshima Classe Hotel is far enough away to feel like an adventure while enjoying Sapporo's city conveniences.

Day-trippers can also use the facilities until 10:00pm (admission until 9:30pm)
