Description
A research facility only possible in the Lake Akan area, famous as feeding grounds for Japanese cranes. The ”Grus” name comes from the Latin word for crane. During the winter, you can observe around 300 Japanese cranes up close, but there's an outdoor breeding facility where you can see cranes all year round and learn about the lives of Japanese cranes.
