If you’ve traveled through Tokyo, there’s a good chance you’ve come across the famous boxes of fluffy, cream-filled sponge cakes shaped like bananas. This sweet snack is Tokyo Banana Cake, and if you haven’t tasted it before, you now have even more chances to try this Tokyo favorite, as it recently hit Tokyo Disney Parks!
As Cute as They Are Delicious
Tokyo Banana Cakes began sales at Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea Park on September 1, 2017. Each cake is filled with a double layer of filling: a harmonious combination of rich caramel and sweet banana custard, a taste that is limited to the cakes sold at the Tokyo Disney Parks. Also unique to the Tokyo Banana Cakes sold there are the design, which feature a Mickey Mouse pattern. These cakes are as cute as they are delicious!
The box also features Mickey Mouse, as well as the words “Tokyo Disney Resort” with an image of the cakes on the front. These cute and tasty banana cakes are a great souvenir for family and friends, but it’s completely understandable if you wanted to buy a box all for yourself!
Where to Find Tokyo Banana in The Parks
Visitors to Tokyo Disneyland can buy Tokyo Banana Cakes exclusively at World Bizarre Confectionary. In Tokyo DisneySea, the cakes are sold at Valentina’s Sweets. While you can buy Tokyo Banana Cake elsewhere, only the Tokyo Disney Resort carries these special Mickey Mouse version, so make sure to pick up a box before leaving the park if you really want to try them!
