The Hamarikyu Gardens, a designated national spot of scenic beauty, is a garden that was built by the Tokugawa shogunate back in the Edo period. Shiori Pond inside the park, as well as two duck-hunting ponds, is filled with seawater from Tokyo Bay. Stroll along a relaxing walking path around a large pond, through artificial hills and beside beautiful dry waterfalls in Kyu Shiba Rikyu Garden. It was built in the Edo period as the private garden of feudal lords. While the garden does not feature a vast field full of Amaryllis, its charm rather lies in discovering the blooming flowers as colorful clusters in various small nooks and crannies along the pathway.
