Sample Itinerary: 6 spots where you can use the Misaki Maguro Day Trip Ticket
1. Get a Filling Tuna Bowl at “Iso Ryori Kanea”
About an hour from Shinagawa Station both your hunger and anticipation for amazing seafood will have grown! Our first dining recommendation is found on Jogashima Island, the largest natural island in Kanagawa Prefecture.
After arriving at Misakiguchi Station, exit the ticket gate, take the Keikyu bus bound for Jogashima from the second bus stop on the left, and get off at “Jogashima” bus stop.
After getting off the bus, turn right and you’ll find the seafood restaurant “Iso Ryori Kanea.”
The store is large with 50 seats, but on weekends and public holidays it’s crowded so we recommend going early.
We ordered the Gensen Maguro Donburi Shonan Shirasu Soe (“Carefully Selected Tuna Bowl with Boiled Whitebait”).
The dish includes big eye tuna chutoro and akami, negitoro, albacore tuna, and Shonan shirasu (whitebait). If you're lucky, you can eat raw shirasu instead of fried shirasu!
The portion size and appearance are impressive, to say nothing of the taste! The thick, richly flavored tuna is caught fresh daily and will satisfy your stomach, just as your heart is satisfied by the nearby ocean. Kanea is definitely worth the trip!
The shop also has three resident cats, who are friendly and very cute. If it’s not too cloudy when you visit, you can even see Mount Fuji from the street outside the restaurant!

2. Jogashima Keikyu Hotel’s Relaxing Thermal Baths and a View of Mount Fuji
For some relaxation after eating and sightseeing, head to Jogashima Keikyu Hotel’s Kirara no Yu (mica onsen baths). If you’re lucky the weather is clear, you’ll get and excellent view of Mt. Fuji, Hakone, and Amagi. Even if you are tired, your fatigue will vanish with this awe-inspiring vista.

3. Meet Cute Animal Stars at Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park!
The next Jogashima sightseeing spot is Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park. To get there, take the East 16 bus from Jogashima bus stop and get off at the “Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park” bus stop. During peak seasons, the bus route ends one stop earlier at “Aburatsubo” bus stop.
At Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park you can meet cute animals! Like delicious food and beautiful scenery, animals are also highly therapeutic. Your Miura/Misaki Omohide Ticket will grant you free entry into the park.
The Marine Park provides visitors with the opportunity not only to see a wide variety of sea creatures, but also to touch many of them (extra charge and advance booking required). The most popular is the “otter handshake” which gives you the chance feed an otter, who will then “shake” your hand!

Another much-loved experience is the dolphin and sea lion performance, which is held in the indoor “Fantasium.” The 35-minute sound, light, and animal show is almost like a musical and is exciting for all ages!
Before going home, be sure to stop by the souvenirs shop. Cute stuffed animals, snacks, and many other fun items featuring the park’s animals are perfect for remembering your trip and sharing your memories with friends and family!

5. A Well-rounded Variety of Sushi at Kaitenzushi Kaisen
After a tasty tuna donburi in the morning, a sushi lunch is next. From Misakiguchi Station, take Keikyu Line to Miurakaigan Station [KK71].
By the way, when you return to Tokyo from Misakiguchi Station, you can stop at other stations along the way, but you cannot make a trip back to Misakiguchi.
Kaitenzushi Kaisen is a 3-minute walk from Miurakaigan Station. Using the Maguro Manpuku Ticket, you can order the "Whole Misaki Tsukushi," which is a set of 5 pieces of tuna, 6 pieces of local fish, 1 gunkan roll, and 1 soft drink or low-malt beer.
The set includes otoro, chutoro and akami tuna, as well a local fish, freshly stocked from Miura and Misaki Port every morning. It’s a pleasure to wonder what you’ll be served each day, and every item will surpass your expectations!
Another appealing point of the set is the inclusion of fried tuna – the taste is unforgettable!

When you’re full, turn right as you leave Kaitenzushi Kaisen and follow Route 214 to the Miura Coast. Miura Beach is a famous beach in the Kanto area, and in summer it’s full of local tourists who enjoy swimming and getting away from Tokyo. When we visited, it was still too chilly for swimming, but many locals could be seen walking along the beach.
6. Souvenir Shopping at Temiage Iroiro Miura Store
Picking up a few souvenirs when traveling is a must, so be sure to stop by. So, finally, go to Temiyage Iroiro Miura Store.
The shop sells vegetables and fruits harvested from the local Takanashi farm, as well as additive-free jams and pickles. The Miura/Misaki Omohide Ticket will allow you to select one item.
There are so many varieties of jam and pickles that you might have a difficult time deciding what to buy! Mr. Takahashi, the manager, recommends mikan Mandarin orange or tomato jam in summer. Other seasonal flavors include strawberry and peach in May, and sweet potato and pumpkin in autumn. Pickles also come in seasonal flavors.
Aside from jam and pickles, the shop also sells sweets, seasonings and containers. The spicy Tomato Harissa (seen above) can be used for various dishes, and is a popular item. As wrapping is free wrapping is available, and it makes a great gift.
