Guardians of the Galaxy’s Groot Returns for a Limited-Time Global Journey

The year kicks off with a highly anticipated, headline collaboration. From December 27, 2025, to June 28, 2026, the classic attraction “it’s a small world” will once again team up with Marvel Studios for “it’s a small world with Groot.” In this limited-time version, the beloved Groot from the Marvel Cinematic Universe leads his Guardians of the Galaxy friends on a journey around the world. Guests can enjoy music that blends Marvel-inspired elements with the attraction’s iconic tune, along with Marvel superheroes reimagined in the signature “it’s a small world” art style. It’s a special experience you can only enjoy at Tokyo Disneyland.
A Sweet Spring with Vanellope

From April 9 to June 30, the spring event “Disney Pal-Palooza” returns with a brand-new theme. This time, Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph takes center stage, transforming the park into a colorful, candy-filled world with “Vanellope’s Sweet World.”
The event decorates the park like a whimsical land of sweets and desserts, with the highlight being the new parade “Sweet Treat Time!” Set to upbeat music, Vanellope leads a cast of Disney friends through dreamlike dessert-themed floats, creating a lively and playful atmosphere. For fans of pastel colors and all things cute, this is easily one of the most photogenic events of the year.
Cool Off with Splashy Summer Parades

As the heat of summer sets in, Tokyo Disneyland rolls out its refreshing seasonal program, “Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort,” running from July 2 to September 14.
One of the biggest highlights is “Fantum with Toy Story 5,” a special collaboration tied to the highly anticipated new film. Alongside a large-scale appearance by characters from Toy Story 5, guests can look forward to summer surprises featuring beloved favorites like Woody and Buzz Lightyear. It’s a chance for families and fans to experience the excitement of the new movie up close while staying cool in the summer heat.
Disney Halloween: Spooktacular Fun Begins September 16

As autumn arrives, Tokyo Disneyland hosts its ever-popular “Disney Halloween” from September 16 to October 31. During this time, the park transforms with mysterious, festive decorations, along with limited-time Halloween parades and exclusive seasonal merchandise.

This year’s Halloween season brings an extra highlight. Starting September 30, the brand-new entertainment program “The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour” debuts. This high-energy live show features funky rhythms, music, and dance, inviting guests to join Disney stars on a lively, groove-filled experience that takes the Halloween excitement to the next level.
Disney Christmas: A Magical Holiday Begins November 11

Following Halloween, the park shines brightest from November 11 to December 25 with the enchanting “Disney Christmas.” Glittering lights fill the park, a towering Christmas tree takes center stage, and heartwarming holiday parades bring festive cheer. Whether visiting as a couple or with family, guests can soak in the magic of Christmas surrounded by seasonal music and a cozy holiday atmosphere.
New Year 2027: Celebrate with Mickey in Traditional Style

As the year comes to a close, a short but special New Year’s program runs from January 1 to January 11, 2027. Mickey Mouse and friends appear in traditional Japanese attire to celebrate the new year with guests, offering a uniquely Japanese festive atmosphere and a memorable way to welcome the year ahead.
In 2026, Tokyo Disneyland blends the worlds of Marvel and Pixar with beloved characters like Vanellope and Groot, creating a lineup of fresh and imaginative experiences throughout the year. Whether you’re seeking something new and exciting or drawn to the warmth of seasonal traditions, this annual schedule offers something to match every vision of a Disney getaway.
