Onoden Honkan: Ask the friendly staff at for help with consumer electronics
Look for the Onoden Boya character in front of the store! This well-established consumer electronics shop opened in 1951.
Its motto is: “Friendly Electronics Shop”.
It has a large selection of items suited for every season from fans to low, heated tables called kotatsu. The staff are all veterans familiar with all the products and able to answer any questions you might have. Some of the staff even speak Chinese and other languages.
The first floor is mainly for foreigners visiting Japan, and sells rice cookers and digital cameras that can be used overseas. There is also a corner where you can find all sorts of Japanese souvenirs having Japanese designs.

Yodobashi Camera AKIBA: Consumer electronics and more, this store has everything!
This is a very large consumer electronics shop directly connected to Akihabara Station Showa-Dori Exit.
Floors 1 through 6 have a wide selection of all kinds of consumer electronics ranging from personal computers, AV equipment, home appliances, to cameras. There are also toys. The 7th floor contains specialty items, such as clothes, books, and CDs; the 8th floor has restaurants, and on the 9th floor there is a golf practice area and a batting center.
This Akihabara shop is so large that you probably could spend the whole day here and not see everything.

Sofmap is a mass electronics retailer based in Akihabara that now has shops nationwide. As its name suggests, the AKIBA #2 Personal Computers Complex specializes in the retail of computers. It has an especially large collection of high-performance gaming PCs.
The store also has a gaming zone where you can play games and try out computers, other devices, and gaming chairs.
In addition, an e-sports delivery studio has been added to the 2nd floor. You can also buy official goods of e-sports teams here.

Suruga-ya has six shops in Akihabara. Each store has distinctive areas, such as games, trading cards, board games, and plastic models with the Anime and Hobby Pavilion focusing on figurines and anime goods.
The 1st floor caters to visiting foreigners and has a substantial collection of Jump and Sailor Moon figurines. The 2nd floor has robots. The 3rd floor has special effect items and the 4th floor handles products designed for young girls.

Akihabara Gamers Main Store: One of Tokyo's best anime stores!
This is a comprehensive anime shop in Akihabara that offers anime-related DVDs / Blu-ray, CDs, goods, comics, products of voice actors, and more. There are also many limited gamers goods. You can also get Akiba Miyage sweets featuring the character Moe.
Various events, such as illustration exhibitions and costume exhibitions, are often held, so anime fans will have fun visiting even if not for your Akihabara shopping.

Kaiyodo Hobby Lobby Tokyo: Super-impressive high-quality figurines!
This shop directly sells products of the world-renowned figure modeling company Kaiyodo. It is located on the 5th floor of Radio Kaikan, long a popular landmark of Akihabara.
The inside of the store is crammed with all sorts of figurines, such as robots, Buddhist images, and special effects items.
The Japanese monkey figurine is especially popular with foreign visitors. The pink version in particular is popular.
There are also many capsule toys made by Kaiyodo. Hand-size elaborately-made animals and tanks, fairies, and works of art make excellent souvenirs to take back home with you to remind you of your trip to Japan.

Akiba Tolim: A convenient Akihabara shopping spot for travelers
Akiba Tolim is a complex commercial facility directly connected to TX Akihabara Station, with 19 stores including restaurants and lifestyle general stores. It is a rare spot in Akihabara where you can purchase clothes, sundries, daily items and much more.
In addition to convenience stores and banks, there is also a Tokyo Tourist Information Service for foreigners (in TX PLAZA Akihabara) on the 1st floor.
In addition, there are also Muji and UNIQLO shops which come in handy if you should suddenly feel cold or need to replace soiled clothing. There are restaurants on the 5th and 6th floors where you can get lunch and dinner.
The 6th to 18th floors of the building are the Hotel Remm Akihabara. This is really convenient for shoppers staying in Tokyo.

mAAch ecute Kanda Manseibashi: Excellent selection of Akihabara souvenirs and more!
It is a commercial facility built using the Manseibashi Station which was used from 1912 to 1943. You can really feel a bit of history in this building that houses many highly unique Akihabara shops and restaurants.
This is a great place for finding souvenirs among the many tasteful household goods offered for sale.
Today there is an observation deck where the train platforms once were and from it you can watch trains on the Chuo Line and Sobu Line go by right next to you. Also, the open deck facing Kandagawa is very relaxing. This is a great place for taking a leisurely stroll.
