5 Hotels Near Haneda Airport: Tokyo Accommodations for Every Budget
- Written by: Julie Gozali
For travelers who have a short layover or overnight transit, there are many options for hotels near Haneda Airport. We have compiled five of the best options for you to choose from, ranging from a capsule hotel, two unique budget hostels, a business hotel and a luxury hotel located within the airport. Let’s take a look.
Why hotels near Haneda Airport matter
Haneda Airport, also known as Tokyo International Airport, is located in Ota-ku, Tokyo. It is one of the two primary airports that serve the Greater Tokyo Area.
Haneda Airport is also the busiest airport in Japan. In 2017, it handled some 85 million passengers, making it the third busiest airport in Asia and the fifth busiest in the world.
Haneda is easily accessible from the main stations within Tokyo via airport buses and other frequent public buses. As an example, the Airport Limousine Bus will take travelers from Shinjuku Station to the airport in approximately 30 minutes. You can also board the Keikyu Airport line train and arrive at Shinagawa station in 20 minutes. Travelers can then take a bullet train (shinkansen) for inter-city trips, or hop on the JR Yamanote loop to reach the main Tokyo areas.
