(2021 Edition) Christmas in Tokyo: 5 Hotels to Relish a Special Dinner With Romantic Views!
- Written by: Ran Tanaka
Christmas is almost upon us and many are looking forward to enjoying a luxurious Christmas dinner in Tokyo! This year, if you'll be staying in town and are mulling whether to go out for Christmas, you might consider instead enjoying dinner at one of Tokyo's fine hotels. As in the past, many hotels in Tokyo will offer extravagant gourmet courses that are available only during Christmas in 2021.
Here we'll recommend 5 hotels where you can treat yourself to specially prepared dishes. Plus, since each selection is a hotel, you can always get a room and spend the night without worrying about the time. These hotels also boast excellent access to places like Odaiba, Shinjuku, and Marunouchi, and all have secure countermeasures against COVID-19.

InterContinental Tokyo Bay: An After-Dark Tokyo Panorama!
Located in the recently redeveloped area of Takeshiba, the InterContinental Tokyo Bay hosts a Christmas Course consisting of high-quality dishes each embodying the festive spirit. The menu was designed by head chef Michiya Nakaune, who won 3rd place in the International French Cuisine Competition and just last year was bestowed with the Order of Agricultural Merit from the French Republic.
Starting at 18,000 yen, you’ll be treated to 6 courses including an appetizer of luxurious ingredients like caviar and foie gras alongside a poêlé made from blackfin seabass from Kyushu. The wagyu beef tenderloin, which is baked in a salty pie crust, will be brought out and cut up before your very eyes to whet the appetite before digging in. The toasting drink will naturally be champagne, after which you can freely relish a carefully curated lineup of free drinks including red and white wines and various cocktails.
There is a lineup of different plans available, including a “Guaranteed Window Seat Plan” to bask in the views of romantic sights like the Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba, and Tokyo Bay, along with a plan allowing a taste of the top-tier Dom Pérignon champagne. No matter which plan you choose, each will undoubtedly lead to an unforgettable Christmas night! With direct access from Takeshiba Station on the New Transit Yurikamome line, getting to the InterContinental Tokyo Bay is also a breeze!

Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower: Party in a Private Room!
Just a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower will be again offering private rooms for Christmas parties in 2021. The group-oriented “Christmas Party Plan” (8,000 yen/person) will allow friends and family to gather safely and have fun in private on the 21st floor Southern Tower Dining bookable party rooms.

Our recommended main dish is the famous Southern Tower slow-roasted rotisserie chicken with mustard sauce, which is cut up and served before your very eyes. You can choose between this or the grilled sirloin steak (+500 yen).
