From 1984, he trained under Angelo Paracucchi, known as the god of pasta.Afterward, he honed his skills at the two-star restaurant Il Carpaccio and under French master chef Paul Bocuse. Arrived in Japan in 1987 as the executive chef at Daimaru, Shinsaibashi, Kyoto.Though he moved to California, he returned to Japan in 1991. Opened his own restaurant in 2002, co-founding Ristorante Luxor in Shirokanedai. Later, he opened Mario i Sentieri in Nishiazabu in 2008, which continues to operate today. Regularly appears on NHK's 'Asaichi.'Frequently appears on other TV programs and magazines, expanding opportunities to showcase talents.
