This is a quiet inn located along a valley about 5 minutes walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. From the guest rooms, lobby, and open-air bath, you can see the Kinugawa Valley and the mountain range, and enjoy the scenery of each season. For dinner, we offer a well-balanced kaiseki meal using local ingredients, including meat, fish, and vegetables. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal that is gentle on the body, including miso soup with plenty of Koshihikari rice from Tochigi Prefecture, and overnight dried sweetfish. The large public bath has a high ceiling and large windows for an open feel, and the washing area has separate partitions for each shower booth, making it easy to use and can be used with peace of mind. In the open-air bath, you can take a bath while looking out at the beautiful Kinugawa valley and listening to the sounds of the murmuring streams and chirping birds. The river breeze blows comfortably on your flushed body, allowing you to feel the delicious air and the blessings of nature with all five senses. Although it is not luxurious or glamorous, please enjoy the tranquility and spectacular views, the best hospitality, and local cuisine.
The final check-in time for accommodation only plans (which do not include meals) is 8:00 p.m.
This inn is located at the foot of the mountain at the Iwamura Castle ruins, which has been selected as one of Japan's 100 most famous castles and is one of the three major mountain castles. The exterior design is inspired by the Ninomaru area. The high atrium lobby has a gassho-zukuri style, and the large dining hall has thick beams, creating an atmosphere that takes you back to the Showa era.
