Hakusan Daigongen appeared in Taicho Daishi's dream pillow and told him about a sacred spring hidden deep in the earth. Daishi went to this Awazu according to the god's message and dug up a sacred spring. It's the beginning. After the death of Masaaki Hoshi, his adopted son, Zengoro, took over as the second generation, and since then, it has continued to be run by the family for 46 generations, which is rare in the world and continues to protect the hot springs.
