It is a unique inn which has an impressive matsuri-kan (festival hall) replicating food stalls from the Chichibu Yomatsuri (the Chichibu Night festival). Guests can enjoy not only an open-air cypress bath and a large bath, but also book a private open-air bath for a fee. Meals served as guests gather and sit around the irori (Japanese traditional fireplace) include natural delicacies special to the mountain village.
The calm Japanese-style rooms offer a view of the majestic Mount Yufu, and you can use the four private baths whenever you like. The location is convenient to convenience stores and restaurants, so it is recommended for solo travelers and family trips. It is a small, traditional, relaxing inn.
Founded in 1914, Bingoya has been serving culinary delights to visitors to Tamashima Port in Kurashiki. A detached building built in the Sukiya style sits in a garden surrounded by old Baba trees. Each building is built as if climbing up the mountain slope, so the higher you climb the better the views become. Each building has its own unique charm, and is elaborately designed to evoke the good old days of Japan. Formerly a traditional restaurant and still a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn), Bingoya offers authentic kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea, served in a detached building or private room.
■Umekiya is a 5-room inn with breakfast on the west coast of Awaji Island. For dinner, we recommend a nearby restaurant. ■We are trying to create a space that retains the charm of the past, while also adapting to today's travel styles. ■Since it is located along the west coast, you can see the sunset over the Seto Inland Sea if you take a short trip. ■It's a 5-minute walk to the beach, so we recommend taking a walk in the morning or evening. ■Toilet, shower and washroom will be shared with other guests. Please note that they are not in the guest rooms. ■The guest rooms are on the 2nd floor, but toilets and showers are only on the 1st floor. Please note that there is no elevator and the stairs are steep. ■The bathroom in our hotel is only a reservation-only shower. ■There is a hot spring facility 5 minutes away by car, and we will give you a discount ticket when you use it. ■Bath towels and face towels are available in the shower room. ■There is no yukata. ■Toothbrush is charged (50 yen). ■Purified water and an electric kettle are always available in the self corner, so please feel free to use them.
