A long-established inn in Ureshino Onsen, founded in 1925, with a serene ambiance surrounded by cedar trees.Designed by the late Junzo Yoshimura, who also worked on the basic design of the new Imperial Palace.The sister inn, Shiibasanso, and the clear stream are also well-regarded.
The Eiheiji Zen Inn Hakujukan utilizes 'Eiheiji Cedar' sourced from the grounds of the 'Eiheiji Temple,' featuring 18 Japanese-Western style rooms, separate large communal baths for men and women, and a restaurant offering Shojin Ryori (traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) supervised by the temple. Positioned as 'a facility between a traditional inn and a temple lodging,' it is an accommodation where guests can experience the spirit of Zen through activities such as zazen meditation.
A small inn. Locally caught river fish and locally picked Sansai (wild plants) are served for meals. You can visit here only for dining upon reservation. Ayu (river fish) set meal and shishinabe (hot pot cooked with wild boar meat) set meal are recommended.
