The Senzu Restaurant is an auberge offering health-conscious Chinese medicinal cuisine in Izu. Blessed with ingredients from the mountains and sea, we have been running this inn specializing in Chinese cuisine for nearly 30 years in this area. Using ingredients from Izu, we do not use chemical seasonings or additives that are said to be unhealthy. We use organic safflower oil, which is cold-pressed and free of cholesterol and genetic modification, as well as domestically produced sesame oil and peanut oil. The dishes at Senzu Restaurant are surprisingly light on oil and do not cause indigestion. From appetizers Using plenty of locally grown vegetables from Izu, dishes like radish cakes and Sichuan-style bang bang chicken with black sesame sauce, the most popular choice among repeat visitors, the Sichuan mapo tofu made with three-year-aged doubanjiang is not extremely spicy. At the end of the course, you'll enjoy three types of original Chinese desserts. Unique to Izu, garlic-steamed spiny lobster and steamed alfonsino, we also accept additional orders for spiny lobster in chili sauce! For breakfast, Based on a secret chicken soup infused with the rich flavors of dried scallops and dried shrimp, starting with Cantonese-style congee, we serve about 8 dishes including steamed local fresh vegetables and various dim sum. We offer a Chinese course meal from Izu that suits Japanese tastes, available as part of a one-night, two-meal plan for dinner and breakfast.
